EPISODE TEN

"Stop crying, David" Debby pet her, "and try and talk to us."

She saw the divine being again as she did in the library, but she could now see his face clearly unlike the other time. Warm sweats ran from her head through her temples upon seeing the mighty ancient being. He looked smooth and gentle, a mild spirit with soft grace and wise voice; a great icon he must have been in his lifetime. He was a tall man with white beards and something said and testified to her who the being was. A witness said softly into her spirit man, saying, behold, The great Apostle Paul.

Sweating, shivering, quivering with trembling was she as she tried speaking. David barely spoke few words. "I saw him and can still see him" she said, and pointed to her left. Everyone in the class looked toward the direction to see who she was talking about, but no one saw anything. They all returned a strange and questioning look at her, including Debby. "What are you talking about, David?" Atom asked. "Enough of all these strange acts of yours. What has happened to you?"

David was there in the class with them in the physical but her spirit was not. She was already caught up in the spirit realms and could only hear them barely. "Be bold, my daughter, David. For this is temporal. Be strong, for you shall overcome and survive through all." The spirit said to her.

"David!" The whole class shouted, seeing she was lost already from the natural realms. Debby shook her body closely and drew her into her arms. Her eyes were more filled with tears, uncontrollable. Her face suddenly was becoming as white as snow and could be likened to that of Moses after he saw God face to face. Fear gripped Debby and threw her from her arms, making David head for the ground. Atom tried to catch her and prevent her from hitting her head against the floor, but his warm hands slipped. But David's body wouldn't touch the floor. Everyone became surprised and at the same time afraid.

David, though unconscious, whispered with her eyes closed and her hairs covering her face, saying, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."

"Psalms 91" Debby said, with amazement and with her face lit up, wondering if David was conversant with that part of the scriptures.

"You mean you know what she's talking about?" Mariam, the assistant class captain who was a muslim, asked, enthusiastically. Debby nodded her head positively, affirming she did know.

Everyone stood in awe, all gaze tightly fixed on David, whose body remained in suspension in the air. Atom bent low to see if there was something supporting her from beneath, but to his amusement, he found nothing, "what the fuck!" He said.

"A'uzu billahi min ash shaitani r rajimi" Mariam exclaimed.

"Jesus Christ of Nazareth!" Another student said.

"Exactly! This girl is not ordinary. She's possessed." Mariam said.

Debby looked more and more confused, not knowing what else to do. A thought quickly came to her mind, and she ran out of the class, leaving few words behind, "I'll be back"

She got to Ss3, her sister's class, whose name was Elizabeth. Fortunately, they were in their free period and she had access to enter freely. "Eliz" she called out. "Your attention is needed." Elizabeth, like Deborah whose mates and friends called Debby was a sound Christian. She was more sound in the new testaments than Debby, who loved to read more about the Kings and the people of Israel. Debby explained the situations to Elizabeth. Elizabeth seemed not to understand what was happening, so she took three of her friends who were believers along with her to the class.

"Make way,. Make way" Debby shouted, as she returned to the class with her sister and her friends. Elizabeth moved closer to take a look at her. "Has she said anything since Debby left to call me?" Elizabeth asked the students. The students exchanged glances at one another, but Atom spoke up.

"Yea" he said, "she said 'Arise, shine, for thy light is come...and, and...Arise, shine, for thy light is come...and...em, em" Atom stuttered.

"And the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee" Mariam helped him out, uttering every word fluently.

"Okay" Elizabeth said, "any other thing?"

"No" Mariam replied.

"Alright" Elizabeth said, laying her hands on David and lifting her up to her feet. She held David's right hand closely and tightly with her left; signaling to one of her friends to hold her left hand too, while she joined hands with the other two and with Debby. "Right now I need everyone to step back in his or her own interest."

They began to pray. They prayed and prayed fervently. Casting and binding, and quoting heavy words from the scriptures. Soon, David lost to her inner strength and she could no longer hold it despite she was still unconscious. She struggled and wrestled her hands with them that were holding hands with her, trying to free her hands unconsciously. Her mouth opened and she began to burst in tongues. She spoke in tongues so loud that it got the attention of the entire school. Teachers observing their teaching periods left their classes to see what was happening. They traced the noise to Jss 3.

The principal entered the class with the new Agricultural Science teacher, Mr. Stanley, and felt embarrassed to see thigs in such a way.

"And what the hell is happening here?" He shouted, and screamed at the students holding David's hands, even at Elizabeth, the female senior prefect.
